Fall In Love With Aarikka's Jewelry

There are many reasons to fall in love with Aarikka's jewelry and the easiest reason is simply, it’s beautiful and who doesn't enjoying wearing beautiful things!

Whether you choose to wear a single piece as a statement or layered and being creative with your own expression of style, they are always a conversation piece and assured of a compliment!

Aarikka's designs are famous for their clear, Scandinavian lines, round forms and use of nature as a source of inspiration. It all begins with wood and its simplicity and the wish to create beautiful and quality pieces that will last from year to year. Birch and pine create the focal point and give way to keeping things either completely natural or dyed to create colours that are rich and luscious making it easy to fall in love with many and difficult to stop at just wanting one piece.

Is there even more to love? Absolutely! Aarikka is a company celebrating 60 years in business and their production methods and materials are still guided by a respect for nature. Hand made in Finland. With many pieces still assembled by at home workers or at centres for the disabled. Social employment creation has been part of their mission since the 1970s. They have a kind footprint and respect for the earth, promoting eco-friendly materials such as wood, assembling products locally avoiding long transportation as well as avoiding unnecessary packaging.

I must admit, there are not enough purchases that I make that I can say I feel connected to and this makes me happy to know that I'm wearing something that I feel connected to and comes with a story.

As well, I believe that there is an energy that resonates from wearing wood and there is certainly reason to being open to the idea that nature provides us with more than just beauty. Some fun facts to consider:

Birch is known as the “giving tree”. Birch contains the essence of truth, rebirth and new beginnings. It is a tree of the sun and the planet Venus and associated with the element of water. Birch is considered the Goddess tree, the symbol of summer ever-returning.

Pine is a tree of peace. Also as an evergreen it reminds us that peace is everlasting in our hearts. The pinecones and their magical seeds also suggest renewal. Many spiritual teachers also see the pinecone as representation of the pineal gland or third eye. Having this wood in your home is great for meditation as well as a sense of harmony.

At the end of the day, wearing something that makes you smile and feel beautiful has already done its job but for me, my Aarikka jewelry is now even more special! Here's to loving what you wear and living #insideout!
